F5 to Acquire CalypsoAI for $180 Million

According to SecurityWeek, F5 is acquiring CalypsoAI for $180 million, mainly in cash, to bolster its adaptive AI inference security capabilities. CalypsoAI has developed a platform that provides adaptive protection against prompt injection and jailbreaks, detects and prevents sensitive data leakage, and is designed to secure AI at inference in live, operational states. F5 plans to integrate these capabilities into its Application Delivery and Security Platform (ADSP).

The deal includes all shares of CalypsoAI, a company based in Ireland and the United States, and is expected to close later this month, with CalypsoAI having raised over $40 million prior to the acquisition. Donnchadh Casey, CEO of CalypsoAI, said enterprises want to move fast with AI while reducing data leaks, unsafe outputs, or compliance failures, and that the combined offering would enable faster innovation without increasing risk.
