Almost two years later, Alpha Omega Winery notifies those affected by a data breach.
Almost two years after Alpha Omega Winery in California experienced what it describes as a ransomware incident, the organisation began notifying those affected on or about 6 November 2025, when it submitted a copy of the notification letter to the California Attorney General’s Office.
The notification letter states that the types of personal information possibly involved include name, date of birth, Social Security number, driver’s licence/state ID number, passport number, other government identification, health insurance policy number, and medical information. The letter offers two years of complimentary credit report monitoring and restoration services provided by Cyberscout, and it was not signed by any executive or principal of the firm.
DataBreaches[.]Net asked whether files or servers were encrypted or if this was a data exfiltration with a ransom demand, but no reply has been received. The incident has not been claimed by any ransomware gangs indexed by a popular site, and the total number of affected customers or employees remains unknown.
