OWASP forms Agentic Research Council to shape AI security policy

At Infosecurity Europe 2026, OWASP will announce the formation of the Agentic Research Council aimed at bridging the gap between rapidly evolving AI technologies and traditional cybersecurity standards. The council, part of the GenAI Security Project, seeks to foster global collaboration among academia, industry, and government to ensure that research aligns with practical security needs.

It will focus on multi-agent security, highlighting the risks posed by interacting AI agents and the need for adaptive governance frameworks. An accompanying paper on Agentic AI governance will provide actionable insights for cybersecurity practitioners to address emerging threats.
