Defakto Raises $30 Million for Non-Human IAM Platform
Defakto has announced a $30.75 million Series B that brings its total investment to roughly $50 million, according to SecurityWeek. The round was led by XYZ Venture Capital with participation from The General Partnership, Bloomberg Beta, WndrCo, Michael Coates, Adverb Ventures and J.P. Morgan.
The California-based company has developed an identity and access management platform for non-human identities, designed to secure automated interactions by replacing static credentials and overprivileged service accounts with dynamic identities for non-human actors such as AI agents, services, workloads and pipelines.
Defakto’s platform covers the entire non-human identity lifecycle and works across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and hybrid environments, and is engineered to integrate into development pipelines without friction. The company was founded by Danny Oliveri (CEO) and Eli Nesterov (CTO). The announcement was made on 21 October 2025.
