CYLAKE , the cybersecurity startup founded by Nir Zuk of Palo Alto Networks fame, has disclosed a funding round of $245 million, taking its total raised to $290 million. The company plans to use the capital to accelerate development of its sovereign, AI-native security platform and to expand its team ahead of a beta expected by the end of 2026, with general availability targeted for 2027.
The news comes roughly six months after the company emerged from stealth in March 2026 with a $45 million seed round led by Greylock Partners. Cylake has grown to more than 40 employees and intends to continue hiring across engineering, product and other functions.
Cylake describes its platform as a complete, AI-native security solution designed for government agencies, highly regulated enterprises and other organisations that cannot rely on public cloud infrastructure. It is pitched to operate entirely on premises or within private cloud environments, giving customers control over data, infrastructure and security operations.
The architecture is said to unify data and context from across an organisation into a single foundation for protection and AI-powered workflows, addressing data sovereignty concerns and visibility gaps from disparate security tools. The funding was raised via a convertible note from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Picture Capital and Redpoint Ventures, with board involvement from Lightspeed’s Ravi Mhatre and Picture Capital’s Rakesh Loonkar.
