Hackers say they have deleted children’s pictures and data after nursery attack backlash

Posted on 2 October 2025, hackers who extorted a nursery chain by posting stolen images and data about children say they have removed the posts and deleted the information, according to BBC. The criminals began posting profiles of the children on their website last Thursday, adding another 10 children days later and vowing to continue until the nursery chain paid a ransom in Bitcoin. They also contacted parents directly with threatening phone calls whilst pressing for payment.

Public revulsion appears to have forced the criminals to backtrack; they initially blurred the images but kept the data, and now say they have taken all the information offline and apologised for their actions. DataBreaches[.]net suggests Radiant’s motives and remorse are unclear, and notes that other threat actors may have sought to dox them. Read more at The BBC.
