META has filed lawsuits against deceptive advertisers based in Brazil, China and Vietnam as part of its effort to curb celeb-bait scams on its platforms, according to about.fb[.]com/news/2026/02/meta-takes-legal-action-against-scam-advertisers/. As part of the action, the advertisers’ methods of payment have been suspended, related accounts disabled, and the websites used to run the scams blocked.

Meta also issued cease and desist letters to eight marketing consultants who advertised bypassing its ad policy enforcement systems, including fake “un-ban” or account-restoration services and renting access to trusted accounts. The three advertisers Meta has named include Brazil-based Vitor Lourenço de Souza and Milena Luciani Sanchez; Brazil-based B&B Suplementos e Cosméticos Ltda.

(Brites Corp), Brites Academia de Treinamento Ltda., Daniel de Brites Macieira Cordeiro and José Victor de Brites Chaves de Araújo; and China-based Shenzhen Yunzheng Technology Co., Ltd. Vietnam-based advertiser Lý Văn Lâm is also cited for using cloaking techniques to bypass review processes and directing users to phony sites for credit card fraud. The cases come amid broader reporting on scam ad activity and enforcement efforts in the region.
