Asymmetric Security Emerges From Stealth With $4.2 Million in Funding
Asymmetric Security today emerged from stealth with $4.2 million in an oversubscribed pre-seed funding round, according to SecurityWeek. The round was led by Susa Ventures, with additional support from Halcyon Ventures, Overlook Ventures, and angel investors. The startup, founded in 2025 by alumni from Oxford, Stanford, Cambridge, RAND, Palo Alto Networks, and CrowdStrike, has offices in London and San Francisco.
Its platform uses AI to automate digital forensics and incident response, autonomously collecting artifacts across email, identity, and cloud applications to analyse the attack and provide recommendations to responders. The company plans to use the fresh funding to expand its engineering and incident response teams, with long-term ambitions to broaden into insider threat investigations, ransomware, and nation-state attacks.
Co-founder Alexis Carlier emphasised that autonomous AI security capabilities are increasingly critical as AI progress accelerates and cyber threats evolve.
