The 2nm Revolution: Samsung Unveils the Exynos 2600 with All–Big-Core Power & HPB Cooling
Samsung’s Exynos 2600 marks its first mass‑produced device on the 2nm GAA process and adopts an all–big‑core design, abandoning the prior efficiency‑core setup in favour of a pure Armv9.3 architecture with one C1-Ultra prime core at 3.8 GHz, three C1-Pro cores at 3.25 GHz, and six C1-Pro cores at 2.75 GHz.
The chip continues to pair with AMD’s RDNA‑based Xclipse 960 GPU and introduces ENSS (Exynos Neural Super Sampling) for AI upscaling and frame generation, alongside a 32K MAC NPU for AI performance claims that Samsung says are up to 113 times higher than the Exynos 2500. A new HPB (Heat Path Block) cooling solution uses High‑K dielectric materials to improve heat conduction, with official data citing a 16% reduction in thermal resistance to enable sustained peak performance.
The ISP gains AI‑based Visual Perception Sensing (VPS) and supports image sensors of up to 320 megapixels. According to market rumours, the Exynos 2600 may be region‑limited for the Galaxy S26 lineup, with higher‑end models continuing to rely on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
