Darktrace Announces Unified OT Security
Darktrace has announced a new OT security release that introduces dedicated workflows for OT engineers, segmentation-aware risk modelling, and NEXT-Generation Endpoint Visibility for industrial teams.
The update adds a dashboard called Operational Overview designed for OT rebuilds of asset management, risk insights and operational alerts, while extending endpoint visibility with Network Endpoint eXtended Telemetry (NEXT) for OT to capture process-level telemetry and identify vulnerabilities without third-party CVE collection.
It also broadens protocol coverage to include GE and Mitsubishi protocols, enabling real-time visibility into PLCs, robots and controllers, driven by Self-Learning AI to flag deviations from normal behaviour. The release integrates governance workflows with Fortinet FortiGate firewall ingestion and ServiceNow CMDB sync, and refines risk scoring to factor exploitability, asset criticality, firewall policy and segmentation posture, prioritising risk across the Purdue Model.
Written by Pallavi Singh, the update emphasises clarity and trust across IT and OT, aiming to reduce friction and accelerate triage in converged environments, with the post dated 30 September 2025. According to Darktrace.
