THE Conduent data breach affects at least 25 million individuals, up from 10 million estimated a few months ago. Conduent detected an intrusion on its network on 13 January 2025, and investigators found the hackers had access since 21 October 2024, with personal information such as names, addresses, SSNs, dates of birth, health insurance data and medical information exposed.
Volvo Group North America is among the companies impacted, with Volvo stating that nearly 17,000 of its employees are affected and learning of the incident only in January 2026. The Safepay ransomware group took credit for the attack in February 2025. Conduent, which provides back‑office services to affected companies, has indicated further updates to various state attorney general offices as the number of affected individuals has risen.
