Qualcomm Confirms Quick Share-AirDrop Interoperability Coming to All Snapdragon Phones
According to Google’s announcement, the Pixel 10 series will support native Quick Share file transfers directly with iPhones via AirDrop, and Qualcomm promptly issued a statement saying it “Can’t wait for people to use this once enabled on Snapdragon in the near future.” The article notes that the Quick Share–AirDrop interoperability is not limited to Pixel devices and is expected to extend to a broader range of Android phones powered by Snapdragon processors, with the capability achieved through software-level protocol implementation rather than proprietary hardware.
Once updates reach system level, Android devices across brands should be able to transfer files seamlessly with Apple devices, which could ease the long-standing green bubble divide for dual-ecosystem users. While no official list of early adopters was released, observers widely predict Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series as a highly likely candidate for first uptake, given Samsung’s dominant Android presence.
The piece also mentions that Android brands such as OPPO and Vivo have previously introduced iPhone-linked features, with Apple’s formal response yet to be seen.
