OnlyFake founder pleads guilty over AI powered counterfeit IDs

Ukrainian hacker Yurii Nazarenko pleaded guilty to operating "OnlyFake," an AI-powered website that sold over 10,000 counterfeit IDs worldwide, including U.S. driver’s licenses and passports. Operated from 2021 to 2024, the site generated substantial revenue in cryptocurrency, facilitating fraud and money laundering. Nazarenko faces up to 15 years in prison and has agreed to forfeit $1.2 million. Sentencing is set for June 26, 2026. Authorities emphasize the risks posed by such fraudulent ID manufacturing.
