Healthcare Services Group disclosed a 2024 data breach that impacted 624,496 people, with notification to the Maine Attorney General’s Office indicating the scale. Hackers accessed company systems between 27 September 2024 and 3 October 2024, and the breach was discovered on 7 October 2024. The compromised data included names, Social Security numbers, driver’s licence numbers, state identification numbers, financial account information and full access credentials.

The company notified state regulators and major credit bureaus, and is providing impacted individuals with 12 months of free Experian credit monitoring, plus guidance on fraud alerts, credit freezes and free reports. There is no evidence of fraud reported from the breach, and at this time no known ransomware groups have claimed responsibility.
