Parliamentary probe urged after 67M ID records leaked

A civil society group has requested a parliamentary investigation into a significant data breach affecting around 67.1 million individuals, following the leakage of national ID numbers and healthcare details by a government agency. Thanarat Kuawattanaphan, the group's leader, highlighted that the system allowed easy access to sensitive personal information using just a name or ID number. This incident is noted as a systemic failure and marks the second vulnerability identified in the same database within the year.
