LevelBlue Announces Plans to Acquire XDR Provider Cybereason

LevelBlue has announced plans to acquire Cybereason, expanding its global managed services portfolio with extended detection and response (XDR), managed detection and response (MDR), and forensic capabilities. The deal, announced on 15 October 2025, builds on LevelBlue’s recent acquisitions of Trustwave and Aon and positions Cybereason’s XDR and DFIR technologies to bolster LevelBlue’s offerings.

According to the acquisition announcement, Cybereason’s Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) capabilities will enhance LevelBlue’s risk assessment offerings, which were part of the Aon acquisition earlier this year. LevelBlue’s chairman and CEO Bob McCullen described the move as combining Cybereason’s XDR with LevelBlue’s AI-powered MDR and incident response to deliver proactive, scalable protection.

It was not immediately clear whether LevelBlue will integrate Cybereason’s platform with Trustwave’s Fusion, though the two entities are expected to come together as one company within LevelBlue.
