Siri’s Gemini Glow-Up: Apple and Google Set to Launch “Truly Intelligent” iOS 26.4

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is poised to unveil the products of its collaboration with Google Gemini as early as February, with the iOS 26.4 beta expected to arrive soon and a public rollout planned for March or April. The piece suggests the long-anticipated, “truly intelligent” Siri may finally debut alongside iOS 26.4, building on features showcased in 2024 that allowed Siri to understand on-screen content and recall flight times.

The underlying model, codenamed Apple Foundation Models version 10 (AFM v10) and operating within the Private Cloud Compute framework, reportedly has a parameter count of 1.2 trillion. Apple’s strategy, the article notes, involves integrating Google Gemini’s architecture while retaining its branding, and Apple envisages advancing to AFM v11 for iOS 27, raising expectations of a more capable chatbot.
