Apple Blocks $2.2bn in Fraudulent App Store Transactions in 2025

In 2025, Apple rejected over 2 million app submissions and blocked 1.1 million fraudulent accounts, preventing over $2.2 billion in potentially fraudulent transactions. The company has stopped more than $11 billion in such transactions over six years. In addition to 40.4 million deactivated accounts due to fraud, Apple rejected 138,000 developer enrollments and terminated 193,000 suspicious accounts. Using AI, Apple rapidly identifies malicious apps and has blocked 28,000 illegitimate apps.

They processed 9.1 million submissions, approving 306,000 developers while discarding 1.2 million applications and 800,000 updates. Apple's measures aim to protect users and support developers in a secure App Store environment.
