New Albiriox Android Malware Developed by Russian Cybercriminals
A new Android malware called Albiriox has emerged, developed by Russian-speaking cybercriminals and offered on cybercrime forums. It is a banking trojan designed for on-device fraud, allowing attackers to control compromised devices for fraudulent transactions in banking and cryptocurrency applications. Albiriox features remote access capabilities and overlay attacks to trick users into providing sensitive information.
Launched in September, it operates on a malware-as-a-service model, costing $650 to $720 per month. The malware targets over 400 applications globally and includes a custom builder to evade detection, indicating a focus on stealth and successful deployment.
