Apono Raises $34 Million for Cloud Identity Management Platform
Apono, a cloud identity management start-up, announced on 18 November 2025 that it has raised $34 million in a Series B round, taking its total funding to more than $54 million. The round was led by USVP, with additional support from 33N, Swisscom Ventures, Vertex Ventures, and previous investors.
A pioneer in Zero Standing Privilege (ZSP) access management, Apono has built a cloud access platform that leverages AI to dynamically grant and revoke access, using Just-in-Time (JIT) and Just-Enough-Access (JEA) models to manage cloud permissions. The company says its solution provides real-time validation of each request to secure agentic operations at scale.
Based in Wilmington, Delaware, Apono was founded in 2022 and has customers including Intel, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and Workday for managing access across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The funding will be used to accelerate product development—focusing on AI-powered access intelligence and policy automation—as well as go-to-market efforts and hiring across engineering and sales.
