Cylake debuts AI native on premises platform for regulated firms

ACCORDING to SecurityWeek, Cylake announced its launch last week and has raised $45 million in seed funding for a platform aimed at highly regulated organisations that cannot use public cloud services. The round was led by Greylock Partners and will fund the completion of development, with general availability expected in early 2027.

Cylake was co-founded by Nir Zuk (CEO), Wilson Xu (chief development officer), and Ehud (Udi) Shamir (chief architect), with additional joiners including René Bonvanie, formerly CMO of Palo Alto Networks. The company describes its platform as AI-native and data-driven, focused on data and operational sovereignty, and designed to operate fully on-premises or in a private cloud for customers barred from public cloud use.

Zuk emphasised that data sovereignty and operational control are requirements for some institutions, and that Cylake aims to provide cybersecurity at scale without adding fragmentation.
