Apple Secures Exclusive F1 Broadcasting Rights in the US Starting 2026; F1 TV Pro Included with Apple TV
Apple has announced a five-year exclusive broadcasting agreement with Formula 1’s parent company, Liberty Media, granting Apple TV the sole rights to stream all F1 races in the United States from the 2026 season. According to industry sources from July, Apple is said to have bid between $120–150 million per year, higher than ESPN’s $90 million annual bid.
Under the deal, Apple TV subscribers will gain full access to every Grand Prix, practice, qualifying, and sprint race, while non-subscribers can stream select highlight events for free via the Apple TV app. Notably, the existing F1 TV Pro service, previously priced at $130 per year, will become a complimentary benefit for Apple TV subscribers in the United States, with additional features such as multi-angle viewing, driver onboard cameras, and real-time telemetry.
Apple states that further production plans and fan engagement details will be revealed ahead of the 2026 season opener in Australia, as part of a broader integration of F1 coverage across its ecosystem.
