FireCompass Raises $20 Million for Offensive Security Platform
FireCompass has announced a $20 million strategic funding round to push its AI-powered automated penetration testing and red-teaming platform, aimed at accelerating research and development, hiring, and global go-to-market expansion. Founded in 2019 in Bengaluru, the company describes its platform as combining attack surface management, threat exposure management, network and application penetration testing, penetration testing as a service, and red teaming, all guided by agentic AI.
The multi-stage adversary emulation is aligned with the MITRE ATT&CK framework, and FireCompass claims it can identify vulnerability exposure within 24 hours of a new CVE disclosure. The firm says the platform chains vulnerabilities, enables lateral movement, and validates risks at machine scale, with an emphasis on reducing false positives. The fresh funds came from the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) program’s creator EC-Council, according to EC-Council, and bring the company’s total raised close to $30 million.
FireCompass CEO Bikash Barai stated that AI-powered attackers are already moving faster than defenders, and the platform is designed to think and act like a real attacker to outpace human response.
