CISA releases agentic AI security guide for safer adoption

The guidance on careful adoption of agentic AI services was published on 1 May 2026 by CISA, in collaboration with the Australian Signals Directorate’s Australian Cyber Security Centre (ASD’s ACSC) and other international and U.S. partners. According to CISA, the guide outlines key security challenges and risks associated with agentic AI and provides actionable steps for designing, deploying, and operating these systems safely.

It emphasises helping organisations align AI risk management with existing cybersecurity frameworks and strengthening oversight as adoption grows.
