Cybersecurity breach includes Crime Stoppers of Hamilton data

The Navigate360 ("P3") data breach, affecting Crime Stoppers of Hamilton, has gained attention in Canada. Hamilton police are aware of the breach, which involves a cybersecurity incident on a U.S.-based platform contracted by the Canadian Crime Stoppers Association. Details on the extent of the breach and the specific data compromised remain unclear as Crime Stoppers awaits a report from Navigate360.

There are concerns about the confidentiality of tipsters' identities and potential risks if their information is exposed. Reports indicate that at least five entities have access to stolen data, raising questions about its circulation, including a statement from a Seattle law firm regarding leaked information. DataBreaches refutes claims that the data has appeared on the dark web and is seeking further clarification.
