MOZILLA has announced a temporary summer upgrade for its Firefox built-in VPN service, eliminating the previous 50GB monthly data cap and expanding the number of available server countries from 4 to 26 until August 31. This unlimited data offer is designed to assist travelers in accessing region-specific streaming content and enhance privacy on public Wi-Fi. Users can still manually select from a wider range of server options and allowlist certain sites, avoiding potential connectivity issues.
After September 1, the VPN will revert to its original limitations. This promotion aims to attract casual users and encourage subscriptions to Mozilla's standalone VPN, amid competitive pressures from browsers like Chrome and Edge.
