ChatGPT Pulse Arrives: The Proactive AI Assistant That Reshapes Your Morning Routine
OpenAI has introduced a new feature within ChatGPT called “ChatGPT Pulse,” a service designed to deliver personalised daily summaries at the start of users’ day, according to OpenAI’s official announcement. Unlike the traditional model, Pulse uses asynchronous research to curate and proactively push updates tailored to individual needs, interests, and daily routines.
The system may, if granted permission, integrate with Gmail and Google Calendar to create recommendations more closely aligned with a user’s personal schedule. For now, the feature is available exclusively to ChatGPT Pro subscribers as part of an early‑access rollout, with OpenAI noting that Pulse will be refined during testing and gradually rolled out to all users.
Strategically, Pulse marks a shift from a reactive Q&A tool to a proactive assistant, weaving information into concise, actionable briefs and supporting everyday decision‑making. While data‑security concerns have been raised, OpenAI emphasises the aim is to help organise, filter and emphasise insights without replacing existing information sources.
