Verisoul Raises $8.8 Million for Fraud Prevention
Verisoul, a fraud detection start‑up founded in 2022 in Austin, Texas, announced it has raised $8.8 million in a Series A round, bringing total funding to more than $12 million. according to SecurityWeek, the round was led by High Alpha with participation from Lookout Ventures, Bitkraft Ventures, and Future Back Ventures.
The company says its all‑in‑one platform tracks a user’s journey to build a holistic profile from real‑time behaviour, device and network data, combined with ID verification and email intelligence, and uses AI models to apply a Real, Suspicious or Fake label to users, accounts and transactions. Verisoul states it can detect device and location spoofing, multi‑account abuse, anonymised connections and AI bots, and can validate email addresses and phone numbers and verify IDs and match faces with selfies.
The funds will be used to hire new talent, accelerate product development, and scale go‑to‑market efforts. “Fake users are overwhelming the internet, and AI is making the problem exponentially worse,” said Verisoul co‑founder and CEO Henry LeGard.
