Escape raises $18M Series A to fuel AI powered offensive security

ESCAPE today announced a Series A of $18 million, taking its total funding to over $23 million, in a round led by Balderton with Uncorrelated Ventures and previous investors IRIS and Y Combinator also backing the raise, according to Ionut Arghire. Founded in 2020 and based in Paris, Escape aims to automate the entire offensive security lifecycle with AI agents that continuously discover, test, and fix vulnerabilities directly within workflows.

The company says it is already working with more than 2,000 teams globally, and the new investment will deepen its platform’s AI capabilities, adding application logic reasoning to agentic pentesting while enabling expansion of engineering and go-to-market teams across Europe and North America. Chief executive Tristan Kalos described the vision of Escape as building an offensive security engineering platform to scale security operations. The update follows security-focused funding rounds and signals continued investor interest in AI-assisted offensive security tools.
