Introducing new regional Internet traffic and Certificate Transparency insights on Cloudflare Radar
Cloudflare has expanded Cloudflare Radar with two major enhancements: regional Internet traffic insights and Certificate Transparency data, announced in a two‑part launch during Birthday Week and published on 26 September 2025. The regional traffic insight feature adds sub‑national visibility, showing traffic trends by region with metrics such as bytes, requests, and shares for desktop, mobile, and bot traffic, and it integrates with the Data Explorer to drill down by region and ASN.
The CT insights bring publicly auditable certificate data to Radar, highlighting certificate issuance trends, signature algorithms, validation levels, and the dominance of Let’s Encrypt (ISRG) which issues more than 66% of certificates, while DV certificates now make up almost 98% of issuance.
The CT data also covers CT logs and logs operators, noting that Sectigo operated the largest number of certificates in CT logs over the last three months (2.8 billion), followed by Google, Cloudflare and Let’s Encrypt, with certificates covering top‑level domains such as .com leading at 45%. The update also presents certificate durations, most of which (92%) fall between 47 and 100 days, and expands domain data to show expanded certificate details including SHA‑256 fingerprints and CT log sources.
