Online outages: Q3 2025 Internet disruption summary
In Q3 2025, Cloudflare Radar observed a wide range of Internet disruptions caused by government actions, physical damage, accidents and technical faults, with several outages tied to explicit shutdowns in Sudan, Syria, Iraq and Venezuela. The quarter also saw fibre‑optic cable damage driving outages in the Dominican Republic, Angola, Haiti, and the United Arab Emirates, with additional commentary on related IP space shifts and upstream provider issues in Pakistan and the UAE.
Power outages disrupted connectivity in Tanzania, the Czech Republic, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Curaçao, Cuba, and Gibraltar, while a major Kamchatka earthquake caused an immediate regional traffic drop. Other notable events included a targeted cyberattack on YemenNet, a fire that disrupted multiple Egyptian providers, and short-lived Starlink outages; there were also no definitive causes recorded for several disruptions in Iran, Colombia, Pakistan and South Africa.
According to Cloudflare Radar, the launch of regional traffic insights helps investigate these anomalies by allowing drill‑downs to regional and network levels.
