ACCORDING to Microsoft Security Blog, security isn’t a solo act but a team sport, a spirit reflected in the 2026 Security Excellence Awards winners announced after a January 26, 2026 gathering in Redmond, Washington that brought together the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association, partners, finalists, and Microsoft security leaders.
The event recognised not only organisations but individuals who exemplify collaboration and AI-powered innovation in the field, with a quotation from Vasu Jakkal emphasising that security is a team sport. The Security Trailblazer category named Avertium as the winner, while BlueVoyant took the Data Security and Compliance Trailblazer honour, and Tata Consultancy Services won Secure Access.
In the Security Changemaker category, Anna Bordioug of Protiviti was recognised, and Illumio was named Security Software Development Company of the Year. The Security Services Partner of the Year went to Invoke LLC, highlighting the ongoing momentum of AI-enabled collaboration within the Microsoft ecosystem.
