Meta Unveils ‘Meta Lab’ Pop-Up Stores for New Ray-Ban Smart Glasses
Meta has unveiled “Meta Lab” pop-up stores for its Ray-Ban Display smart glasses, with pop-ups launching in Las Vegas on 16 October, Los Angeles on 24 October, and New York on 13 November, and the Burlingame, California Meta Store rebranded as Meta Lab for demonstrations and direct purchases.
Unlike earlier Ray-Ban Meta models, the Ray-Ban Display includes a compact display module that enhances visual and interactive capabilities, and Meta emphasises hands-on experiences through these pop-ups to drive consumer engagement.
In its statement, Meta noted: “Demand for in-person demos of Meta Ray-Ban Display and the Meta Neural Band is strong, with appointments in many major cities already booked out through mid-October.” Beyond the pop-ups, the company plans to test vending-machine sales of its smart glasses as part of exploring alternative distribution models. Consumers can also test and buy the glasses at Ray-Ban outlets, Verizon, Best Buy, and LensCrafters, but the product cannot be purchased online or without an in-person trial.
Visitors can book visits via the Meta website as Meta continues to push experiential events to broaden public interest and potential market adoption.
