SPECTRUM Security has emerged from stealth with $19 million in seed funding, led by TechOperators and supported by WhiteRabbit Ventures, Skinos Ventures, Alumni Ventures, and various angel investors. Founded in 2025 and based in San Francisco, Spectrum aims to close the detection gap with a platform that automates detection upstream and works with existing stacks, SIEM solutions, data lakes, and EDR tools to fix coverage gaps.

The company says its platform can compress detection authoring and reduce engineering hours while continuously monitoring the environment and fixing detections to ensure full coverage. The startup plans to invest the new funds in accelerating its engineering and go-to-market efforts. According to Spectrum, its approach is to help security teams know what they are covered for, continuously and at the speed the threat demands, rather than wondering what gaps remain.
