Raspberry Pi Unveils Touch Display 2 for Pi 5 Home Projects

The Raspberry Pi has launched the Touch Display 2, a ten-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1200x1920 pixels and support for ten simultaneous touch points. Priced at $80, it simplifies device assembly by drawing power directly from the Raspberry Pi, eliminating the need for a separate power supply. The display works with Raspberry Pi OS out of the box, with all necessary components included. However, it only supports the Raspberry Pi 5 and newer models due to its requirement for four DSI lanes. Suitable applications include home automation, robotics interfaces, and gaming systems.
