Brida Introduces New Release Offering Complete Support for Latest Frida Integration
Brida has released version 0.6, offering full compatibility with the latest Frida dynamic instrumentation framework and marking a major step for security researchers and penetration testers using Burp Suite. The update follows Frida’s major architectural overhaul in May 2025, which removed several runtime bridges and required Brida to rework its core operations for Frida 17.3.2 and frida-compile 19.0.4.
Led by Federico Dotta and developed in collaboration with Ole André Vadla Ravnås’s team at NowSecure, the Brida team has incorporated a substantial JavaScript refactor, enhanced kill server support for modern Java versions, and new Host:Port and DeviceId connection modes for Frida integration.
Brida 0.6 also introduces a JavaScript bypass for OkHttpHostname verification, updated Android root detection scripts, and refreshed project documentation; however, it no longer supports Frida versions prior to 17, with a Brida 0.6pre offering compatibility with older frida-compile 10.2.5 and earlier Frida versions. The release is available on GitHub, and has been submitted to the Burp Suite team for inclusion in the BApp Store, according to Burp Suite team.
