15 years of helping build a better Internet: a look back at Birthday Week 2025
Cloudflare’s Birthday Week 2025 looked back on 15 years of building a better Internet while rolling out a new wave of initiatives aimed at creators, startups, and the next generation of talent. The company announced a goal to hire 1,111 interns in 2026, and opened new physical hubs for startups in San Francisco, Austin, London, and Lisbon to foster collaboration and mentorship.
It also extended free access to Cloudflare’s developer platform for students and offered free credits to non-profits and public-interest organisations, broadening opportunities to experiment with and deploy Cloudflare tools. Among the week’s highlights, Cohort #6 of the Workers Launchpad was welcomed, reinforcing Cloudflare’s accelerator programme for early-stage companies building on its platform.
The wrap-up emphasised that Birthday Week is about more than technology, aiming to support builders, founders, and students, while continuing to improve speed, security, and openness across the Internet.
