The Big Screen Remembers: Samsung & Google Bring Vision AI to Your Photos

Samsung has announced plans to become the world’s first television manufacturer to natively integrate Google Photos into its TV lineup, a move that goes beyond simply porting an app to the screen. According to Samsung, the integration will deeply fuse Google Photos with Samsung’s Vision AI Companion, an upgraded incarnation of Bixby, so future TVs can surface relevant personal photos during interactions or in ambient standby states.

The company says three new experience modes will roll out in 2026: Memories, Create with AI, and Personalized Results. Memories, launching in March 2026, will be exclusive to Samsung TVs for six months before expanding to other Google-platform smart TVs. Create with AI, which will use image generation and editing models from Google DeepMind, is slated for the second half of 2026, while Personalized Results is expected in the latter half of 2026.

This approach aims to turn the TV into an ambient display that weaves personal memories into everyday life, supported by Vision AI-powered photo editing and video generation capabilities.
