Sentra Raises $150 Million to Expand AI Data Security
Sentra, the agentic data security firm, has announced a $150 million Series C funding round, bringing its total raised to over $260 million. The round was led by Capital One Ventures, with participation from existing investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, Key1 Capital, Munich Re Ventures, Standard Investments, and Zeev Ventures.
The company, founded in 2021 and operating from New York City and Tel Aviv, describes Sentra as offering an AI-powered, cloud-native platform for data security and governance, focused on AI data readiness and protecting data at rest across cloud, SaaS, data warehouses, knowledge stores, and on‑premises file shares.
Sentra says it will use the new funds to expand its agentic data security capabilities, delivering broader visibility into how AI and data interact, and to deepen continuous least-privilege enforcement for all identities, including human and AI agents. The company also plans to broaden its go-to-market organisation, enhance brand and marketing, and extend into new regions.
Yoav Regev, Sentra’s co‑founder and CEO, emphasised that traditional perimeter controls are inadequate for fast-moving agents, noting that Sentra aims to secure data and control which identities can reach it so organisations can deploy AI more quickly while remaining in control.
