Polish Police arrest 3 Ukrainians for possessing advanced hacking tools
Polish police have arrested three Ukrainian nationals on suspicion of using advanced hacking equipment to target IT systems and obtain sensitive defence-related data. The men, aged 43, 42 and 39, were detained after officers found Flipper hacking gear, spy-device detectors, SIM cards, drives and antennas in their car, and Flipper Zero is noted in the report.
The suspects face charges including fraud, computer fraud and possessing tools intended to damage sensitive national-defence IT systems; a court has ordered three months of pretrial detention while the investigation continues. Warsaw police stopped a Toyota on Senatorska Street and, after a search, the men—who claimed to be IT experts—could not explain the equipment, though officers stated it could be used to interfere with the country’s strategic IT systems.
According to the Polish police, officers seized a spy device detector, advanced FLIPPER hacking equipment, antennas, laptops, numerous SIM cards, routers, portable hard drives and cameras. The case materials have been forwarded to the Warsaw Śródmieście-Północ District Prosecutor’s Office.
