Tiffany Data Breach Impacts Thousands of Customers
Tiffany and Company has informed US and Canadian customers that their personal information related to Tiffany gift cards was accessed by hackers. According to the notification sent to impacted individuals, a threat actor gained unauthorized access to Tiffany systems on or around May 12, 2025. An investigation found that the attacker obtained data including name, email address, postal address, phone number, sales data, gift card number and PIN.
The Maine Attorney General’s Office said more than 2,500 individuals are impacted by the data breach, though it is unclear whether the figure includes Canadian customers. Tiffany’s disclosure notes that the breach involved Tiffany’s own systems, and there is no mention of a third‑party service. It remains unconfirmed whether this incident is related to the Salesforce attacks recently seen at other luxury brands.
