Agentic Security Firm 7AI Raises $130 Million

Boston, Mass-based agentic cybersecurity firm 7AI today announced a $130 million Series A funding round, bringing its total funding to $166 million. Established in 2024 by Cybereason co-founders Lior Div and Yonatan Striem-Amit, 7AI says the round was led by Index Ventures with participation from new investor Blackstone Innovations Investments, Greylock, CRV, Spark, and other seed investors.

The funding comes ten months after the company launched from stealth in February 2025, and will support expansion of its AI Security Engineering and go-to-market teams as it scales via a channel-first model. 7AI describes its autonomous “swarming agents” as capable of categorising threat alerts across cloud, email, identity, and EDR, and then dispatching the appropriate agents to handle them. As part of the deal, Shardul Shah, Partner at Index Ventures, will join 7AI’s board of directors.
