Perplexity Launches AI-Powered Email Assistant for $200/Month

Perplexity has announced the launch of its AI-powered Email Assistant, a feature aimed at streamlining daily inbox tasks for business and professional users. The service is available only to subscribers of its premium Max plan, which costs £200 per month (the article uses $200 per month). It was introduced in July and is now positioned to appeal to enterprises and high‑level professionals.

The Email Assistant supports both Gmail and Outlook, with users forwarding messages to the dedicated AI mailbox assistant@perplexity[.]com to have tasks such as tidying the inbox, flagging important correspondence, scheduling meetings, or drafting replies carried out. Perplexity emphasises that the AI will not use email content for training and will instead adapt to the user’s writing style.

The feature raises privacy and security considerations, as all correspondence must pass through Perplexity’s servers, a factor that enterprise customers may scrutinise in terms of data access, compliance and confidentiality.
