Kazakhstan Considers Criminal Liability for Mass Leaks of Personal Data

Kazakhstan is considering tightening legal responsibility for violations related to personal data protection, proposing criminal liability for mass leaks of citizens’ personal data and a significant rise in administrative fines for failing to meet information security requirements.
