ACCORDING to SecurityWeek, UK cybersecurity startup Trent AI has emerged from stealth with $13 million in seed funding. The investment round was led by LocalGlobe and Cambridge Innovation Capital, with additional support from several angel investors. Founded in 2025 by former AWS engineering team leaders, London-based Trent AI has built a layered platform to secure AI agents throughout their entire lifecycle.
The multi-agent security solution secures agents as they evolve, learning more about the systems it protects with each cycle, and aims to improve mitigation accuracy. The company plans to invest the new funds in continuous development of AI agents, expand its engineering team and go-to-market efforts. Trent AI’s co-founder and CEO Eno Thereska says organisations are deploying AI agents faster than security can adapt, and the firm is building the security foundations for agentic systems now and into the next decade.
