Why Testing Attack Chains Beats Focusing on Attack Surfaces

The article titled 'Attack Chains, Not Just Attack Surfaces: Why Testing Individual Techniques Misses the Point' underscores the importance of understanding attack chains in cybersecurity testing. It argues that focusing solely on attack surfaces fails to capture the complexities and interdependencies of attack techniques. Instead, a comprehensive evaluation of the entire attack chain is essential for effective security assessments and threat simulations. This approach enhances the ability to predict and mitigate potential security breaches.
