ABBOTT Laboratories is currently investigating two separate cyber incidents affecting its Cancer Diagnostics business and LabCentral portal. On July 16, Abbott reported unauthorized access in the Cancer Diagnostics sector, and the ShinyHunters hacking group has threatened to publish stolen data unless a negotiation occurs by July 21.
Meanwhile, the ShadowByt3$ gang has claimed to breach the LabCentral portal using compromised customer credentials, exfiltrating sensitive technical documents related to Abbott's diagnostics systems.
