DATA security company Cyera has raised an additional $400 million from Goldman Sachs Alternatives, taking its valuation to more than $12 billion. The investment extends the Series G round announced in June, and brings Cyera’s total funding to more than $2.7 billion. The company says the new capital will support further development of its platform and continued expansion.

Cyera offers an agentless, API-driven platform that provides visibility and governance over sensitive data across hybrid-cloud, SaaS, database and on-premises environments. It continuously scans structured and unstructured data stores, using machine learning to classify information according to business context and compliance requirements.

The platform combines data security posture management, data loss prevention and identity access governance, correlating data sensitivity with user permissions to identify misconfigurations, excessive access and risky sharing. It also monitors data sent to large language models, examines training datasets and aims to reduce exfiltration risks in automated AI workflows.

Cyera announced the acquisition of agentic access-management provider Oasis Security for $1 billion in late July. The company says it has more than 1,500 employees and that its products are used by 20% of Fortune 500 companies. There is no claim in the report that the funding relates to a specific cyberattack or confirmed exploitation.
