The gang employs voice phishing and social engineering tactics to infiltrate organizations, particularly targeting law firms and sensitive sectors like finance and healthcare. Once internal access is gained, SRG focuses on data exfiltration, threatening victims with extortion emails.
They utilize a fast flux technique, shifting DNS records to obfuscate their server locations, with operations spanning 18 countries. This has led to a notable rise in ransomware incidents in the legal industry.
