Alexandra Posadzki reports that Canadian hacker Aubrey Cottle has pleaded guilty to three charges related to a cyberattack on the Texas Republican Party, associated with the hacktivist group Anonymous. Cottle admitted to fraudulently obtaining computer services from web-hosting company Epik, causing damage to data of the Texas GOP, and violating bail conditions. Sentencing is scheduled for June 26, with the Crown recommending a 2.5-year sentence and the defense seeking time served.
